When we first moved, my daughter attended a daycare closer to our new home and unfortunately, it just wasn't the right fit for her. She wasn't happy there and didn't enjoy going, so as her mom, finding somewhere she could feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely happy was really important to me. Finding Ducklings made such a difference for her. Watching her grow during her time at Ducklings has honestly been life changing. From crying and fighting us on not wanting to go to daycare to busting down Ducklings' door ready to go. She has learned so much, not only academically, but socially and emotionally too. I've watched her become more confident, find her voice, make friends, and really start to come into her own. She was learning so much even before entering their Pre-K program, and now, after going through their Pre-K year, she is truly ready to take on kindergarten. Her teachers are amazing not just in teaching but being wonderful adults where she felt cared for. Ducklings' teachers really care about the children. Looking back at where she started and seeing the little girl she is becoming makes me so grateful we found Ducklings.

We are incredibly grateful for the experience our daughters have had at Ducklings. They have flourished academically and socially, thanks to the amazing teachers and director who truly care about each child’s development. They make learning fun. The curriculum is so well thought out and every day they are learning things that truly amaze me. They lay the solid foundation for our kids to be prepared for kindergarten, but it’s so much more. My daughter comes home showing me yoga and new languages that she is learning and they even have options to sign up for extracurricular activities like karate, soccer, and hip hop while in school. What sets them apart is how much they genuinely care. Every day is special, and we can't thank the dedicated staff enough for their passion and commitment! Parents get to vote on the teacher that exemplifies their core values of the month and it can be hard to pick because they are all incredible. I’m so happy a friend referred us there, because I couldn’t imagine my children anywhere else. Thank you!

Ducklings Westtown is such a special place, we have been with them for our first child who went through Covid and they were absolutely wonderful and now our second is with them. She was there as a baby and as anyone knows it is so hard to leave your children but everyone at Ducklings makes it easier. The staff is caring, communicative and kind. I cannot recommend this Ducklings any more!!

MEET Nicole Frees!

Nicole Frees, Ed.D. is a proud member of the Ducklings Family and has been the owner of Ducklings ELC, Westtown for three years. She is a former Ducklings employee, current parent (two ducks enrolled) and educational leader. Nicole has her doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master’s Degree in Special Education, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She is an educational leader with experience as a teacher, instructional coach, service coordinator, and instructional consultant. However, being a mom and wife is her greatest joy and accomplishment.

Nicole grew up in Chester County and always dreamt of opening a daycare but never wanted to compete with Ducklings because she believed in their philosophy and approach to learning. After her second son was born she discovered that franchising was an option. She and her husband, Kyle, knew this was the next step for their family. With his support and encouragement her dream became reality when she took ownership of Ducklings Westtown in 2021.
