Halley and Ed Scarpignato felt motivated to become a part of the Ducklings company when they noticed a lack of quality early childhood care options in Delaware County. When researching locations to place their daughter in 2021, they were left with programs mostly located in religious institutions or in the home of a stranger. Halley and Ed wanted more than this and sought out options outside of Delaware County that could provide a few key things, such a safe environment, communication throughout the day including photos, and more of a “school” where their daughter would be given opportunities to interact with other children of all backgrounds and learn about other cultures. Ducklings Early Learning Center was able to meet these criteria. Halley and Ed enjoy providing other families in Delaware County with the same quality childcare that has previously not been available in the area.
Halley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree in Special Education, both of which were obtained from Widener University. Additionally, she holds the multiple teaching certifications in Pennsylvania, including Early Childhood Education.
